[Castiel is in his room. It looks extremely sparse and unused, with a neatly made bed and otherwise very little else. By the way, the walls are his room are scrawled with mysterious symbols in both black and blood-red. Ignore the handsome gentleman in the screen. He is not in Castiel's room.]

I've located a prayer room on the ship. I'm curious if anyone would be interested in a service or a sermon? Bear in mind this would be to my Heavenly Father, the Holy Lord, He Who Watches, and no other gods that are worshiped. I'll also try to answer any questions about His Everlasting Majesty, though I can't promise my answers will be sufficient.

Interruptions and blasphemy will not be permitted.

It will be on Friday, and there may be a Sunday service.

[He poofed in right behind her, so Buffy instinctively turned and punched him right in his face. The Slayer just stares at him after the fact, clearly not affected by the punch as normal humans would be. When she realizes it's him, her stance relaxes. She huffs at him.] Y'know.. One of these days I'm going to be holding a sword or something and I'm going to have to clean up Angel shish-kabob off my floor.

Most human weapons can't harm me, but being stabbed is unpleasant.

[He waits a beat.]

If I show you the sigil once, will you remember it?

[Cas. Srsly. She just stares at you some more.]

Probably. But I don't think we should leave something this important up to my memory. [She moves to grab a pen and notebook out of her desk.]

When Dean and I first met, he thought I was a demon. He first shot me six times, then stabbed me in the heart.

[He reaches for the pen and draws the sigil for her.]

Draw this in your blood, then press the palm of your hand to the center to activate it.

AKA, she doesn't seem very impressed. She's fought basically invincible things and has beaten them all.

She wordlessly takes the notebook back and gives the symbol a look-over.] Blood, huh? It's always gotta be blood.. [Buffy looks back at Cas.] So if you turn evil, if we can't stop you, I'll get my blood magic on and kick you out. Is that the deal?

It's best used written on a wall or door, and the angel you're banishing must be in the same room as the activating sigil.

[Buffy nods slowly, keeping eye contact with him. Something in her expression softens somewhat, but it's subtle.] Got it. [She closes her notebook and places it on her desk for now.] I'll keep it safe. We don't want that in the wrong hands.

From what I understand, no one here is familiar with the magic of my world, and hopefully wouldn't know what the sigil is for. That being said, I'd prefer if that magic stayed in trustworthy hands.

[Shrug.] It's a just in-case thing. And you never know when someone else from your world might show up with the want-to but without the know-how.

[Buffy pauses and just kind of looks at him. What she says next with sincere tones might surprise him.] So.. How are you doing?

[A grim expression creeps into his eyes. He could just imagine Crowley appearing here.]

Yes.

]He seems to consider this question at length, putting his hands in his pockets and staring at the ceiling.]

I'm doing well. I was concerned I had exposed myself to Dean, but it seems that I didn't. [A beat.] I lied to him, though. [That's obviously not sitting well with him.]

I wish this wasn't so complicated. Not just Dean, just... this place.

[She nods a little, crossing her arms across her chest, and looks down at her floor for a moment.]

I don't like being dishonest with him either. Not like this. But you did the right thing. [Buffy looks at him again.] As for the complicatedness of this place? It doesn't get easier.

Dean is... he tends to find these things out. I don't want him to be angry with me, but I know he will be no matter what I tell him.

Nothing ever gets easier.

[Yeah, she knows he'll probably find out one day. Especially with how careless Castiel has been lately.] Can you do me a favor? Try to stop making me run interference for you two? It's bad enough already. I don't know how I'm going to be able to play innocent if he mentions you.

[A knowing look.] No, they don't.

[They don't teach social skills in angel school, okay?]

I want to be his friend. I.....that's all I want. I know I should just stop talking to him, but I.. I can't do that. I'm sorry.

[A long sigh and she leans back against her desk.]

I know. I get it. I do. [She considers him for a moment.] This isn't my decision to make for you, Castiel. But if you're going to keep hiding the future from him, you've got to be more careful.
